This photo was taken outside of Sub City on College Hill, the first location out of three where Nixson and I explored that day. Nixson is a fashionista and loves putting together outfits that feature his favorite sneakers and his ski mask. Fun fact: for the sake of his fit, he requested that I photoshop his yellow ski mask to be orange. "All for the fit," says Benitez.
Prairie Lakes Park, Cedar Falls, IA
This 165-acre park is where my best friend Sarah and I have taken many afternoon walks. The park was acquired back in 1987 and features 2 Lakes, a handicapped fishing dock, 4 open shelters, and a nature trail. The park is absolutely perfect for a picnic on warm days. Walkers, runners and bikers can also spot various sculptures and exercise equipment stations along the trail route.
Target, Cedar Falls, IA
Target is a world of endless possibilities. A college student's heaven. A place where if you don't hold yourself back, you'll likely spend all your money. In this photo series, we explore the home decor section, where Nixson looks at the many plants and tests out the different chairs for sale. He enjoys art, reads a story, and plays hide-and seek.
